Promoting ReNewEurope project among teachers

On 14th and 15th of April 2023, the Masovian Congress of Education took place in Warsaw. The event was devoted to contemporary teaching problems as well as to looking for the ways to make the educational process more attractive.

During the Congress, we had an enormous pleasure to present our project. We talked about the problem of existing stereotypes concerning “old” and “new” Europe and introduced the tools developed within the project that could enable educators to make the teaching more inclusive.

Our presentation has met with great interest from the public. The participants have especially praised the project’s focus on using European and local sources. We hope that the project’s tools will soon gain new users!

TPM 7 Warsaw

Last (but not least) of our meetings took place in Warsaw.

Since the project is coming to an end, we have discussed the last adjustments to the prepared materials. By the time of the meeting, we have received some reviews of the content so we took some time to reflect on them.

Once we have the materials we have to disseminate them. Therefore, we reflected on our past actions in that regard as well as plans for the future. As we would like our materials to be helpful also after the project’s ending, our discussion has further concentrated on the exploitation strategy.

Finally, we have made preparations for the Closing Conference of the project, which will also take place in Warsaw.

Dissemination Meeting Warsaw

This time it was Warsaw where the dissemination took place. The attendants represented mostly the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Studies as well as the European Centre of the University of Warsaw.

After the introduction of the project, its goals and developed materials, the open discussion began. The participants concentrated first and foremost on the potential ways of using the project’s content in the didactic process. As in previous cases, we have also received some very helpful suggestions that could contribute to improvement of the project.

Dissemination Meeting Belgrade

The second dissemination meeting took place in Belgrade, gathering mostly people from the University of Belgrade’s Faculty of Political Sciences, but also some people from outside the University were present as well.

As usual, the meeting started with the overview of the project, which had been the invitation to an open discussion. In general, the participants liked the idea of our project and the ReNewEurope on-wheels summer school. The comprehensiveness and multidisciplinary nature of the materials were especially emphasised as positive outcomes.

We have also received some very helpful feedback concerning new possible topics of the summer schools as well as the better ways to use the digital materials.

Dissemination Meeting Romania

What would any project be without its promotion? Having that in mind, once we developed the materials, we started to organise the dissemination meetings.

The first one took place in Brasov and was attended by the people from various faculties of Transilvania University of Brasov.

The meeting began with the presentation of the general idea behind the project, followed by the produced materials as well as the website. We have explained the aims and scope of every kind of content and talked about some guidelines on how to use them.

The presentation was followed by the Q&A session during which we have received many interesting questions. At the end, the participants have filled out the evaluation survey. The feedback we received was pretty much positive!

TPM 6 Zagreb

The last days of September turned out to be the ideal time for our next Transnational Partner Meeting.

As last time, we took a moment to reflect on the Training Kit. However, the attention has been turned first and foremost to the other kinds of materials: Manual for Academic Staff (where we present an overview of the project) and the Guidebook (where we provide instructions on how to use the materials). The discussion also concerned the content we would like to upload to the online repository. Finally, we have prepared for the dissemination meetings that should take place in each country involved in the project. Warsaw is our next destination.

TPM 4 Brasov

For the ReNewEurope project, the year 2022 began with another transnational partner meeting!

During two days spent in the wonderful city of Brasov, Romania, we worked both on the formal requirements of the project as well as its substantive content. The deadline for submitting the interim report was approaching, so we had to gather all the necessary information and documents. After that, we could concentrate on the content of the Training Kit – one of the most important outputs of the project. We have discussed the contributions of each partner.

We have also taken a moment to reflect on how the pandemic has influenced the project and what lessons we can draw based on that experience.

Finally, we decided on the place of our next meeting – it would be Belgrade this time!

TPM 3 Sofia

The third transnational partner meeting was at the same time first one that was held offline. We have finally got a chance to discuss our ideas in person!

The discussion was first and foremost circling around the methodological framework as it was the base for developing other materials, beginning with the Training Kit. The pandemic was still a great issue then, so we had to rearrange some of our plans according to the external circumstances. We have also taken a look at the modules and decided to rename them in order to make them more understandable.

Finally, we have set up the schedule for our next meetings, starting with the one in Brasov!
